OUTPOST

A new website for a contemporary art gallery that increased visitor engagement, membership subscriptions, and art sales, both physically and digitally.

  • Norwich-based contemporary art gallery OUTPOST had outgrown their outdated website. They needed a modern, user-friendly site that remained true to their longstanding brand identity. The new site also needed to be easily managed internally and include additional functionalities like an online store and an improved user journey for member subscriptions.

  • As the web designer and creative consultant, I worked closely with OUTPOST to ensure their new website aligned with their brand identity while providing the functionality they needed to grow digitally. I designed and built the new site on Squarespace and provided hands-on training to ensure the gallery’s team could manage it independently moving forward.

  • I developed a clean, modern website that integrated all the essential features: an online store for art sales, a simple and intuitive membership signup process, and a design that reflected the gallery’s contemporary aesthetic. By choosing Squarespace, I provided the client with a platform that was both visually impactful and easy to manage, allowing them to update content, add products, and manage memberships without needing a developer. I also offered 1:1 training sessions to ensure they felt confident using the platform.

  • The new website resulted in an increase in membership subscriptions, more art sales, and visitors spending longer browsing the site. The streamlined user experience helped OUTPOST attract more engagement from both local and global audiences, and the online store provided an additional revenue stream. The gallery now has a website that matches its contemporary art focus while offering ease of use for both visitors and internal teams.
