I’m Sam Harrons, an interdisciplinary artist, creative strategist, and founder of Compendia, a travel and lifestyle brand focused on conscious, authentic experiences. Based in Norwich, England, I’ve spent over a decade bringing ideas to life by blending art direction, photography, videography, and brand development into cohesive, impactful projects.

My creative journey began early. I’m a self-taught art school dropout, and at 18, I started my first business—SHHHH Collective—a streetwear brand and artist collective born out of my love for street art, skate culture, and streetwear. While working as a photographer in retail and running a successful monthly club night, Tropico, for much of my twenties, I honed my skills in building communities and creating authentic brand experiences.

In my mid-twenties, I launched Artel, a healthy concept-cafe and lifestyle store that merged sustainability and culture. This experience helped me develop a deeper connection between brand strategy and creative direction, two core skills that have guided me through multiple entrepreneurial ventures.

Over the years, my role has often been that of a creative director or brand consultant—helping to build brands from the ground up, while also serving as the idea generator at the start of projects. My strength lies in connecting the dots that aren’t always obvious, and I thrive in environments where I can shape and guide projects with a clear, strategic vision. Much of my work has been about crafting concepts and ensuring that each project aligns with the principles of collaboration, connection, and community.

In 2021, I decided to rebrand SHHHH into Compendia, a more refined platform that reflects my evolved purpose. I now work as a creative and concept director, helping forward-thinking brands create meaningful connections with their audiences. This also opens up opportunities for collaborations with Compendia and Compendia Studio, where our values and vision align.

I’m expanding my horizons by offering my services as a freelance creative consultant for 2-3 days a week, working with brands and agencies globally. I aim to focus on high-level campaign ideation and creative strategy, applying the knowledge gained from my entrepreneurial journey to help both established and emerging brands. I’m especially passionate about working with companies ready to transition toward more sustainable practices—helping them become ‘earth keepers’ through bold, transformative campaigns.

Ultimately, I believe in creating work that not only looks great but drives impact—helping businesses grow while also contributing positively to the planet.
